Fish eye lense?? Or photoshoping the edges? I really am drawn to the ''older 70s'' look of the last few. Very eye catching photos

I don't have any lens for my canon except the regular 58 mm lens it comes with, for some reason it seems to give a fish eye effect to some of my pictures, can someone explain this? Do I have a disfunctional lens?

The last three are holga, that's how I got the 70's look. I've actually started a little collection of vintage cameras, they are really fun to work with.

Great pics! I like the bright colors and I really think the photo of the three of you (with your son standing between both of you) is amazing.

if your camera lens was 50mm, it would def be broken, but it probably wouldnt take pictures either. 58mm is the size of filters that fit your lens front. you probably have a 17-55IS, 17-85, or 18-55mm. any one of those take really wide pictures zoomed out. if its one of those then youre def alright. the wider the lens, like 17 or 18 and under, usually the more distorted it gets especially around the edges and in the middle. some lenses actually take wider pictures than others. like canon has these two L lenses one is a 15mm and the other 14mm, but the 15 is way wider which makes no sense if youre looking at the focal length of the two lenses. the 15 was just made to be more fisheye and the 14 was made to be really huge wide but still look as natural as possible. i used to use the 18-55 and its actually wider than my 17-40, but i just got this one cuz itll be crazy wide when i can finally get a 5d M11.
