Photographer Spotlight: Ross Ching
For those who were not in photographics this week we took a look at this photographer. His website is rossching.com
Check out his numerous videos! They are all individual shots from his DSLR but shown at 24 frames a second or so. Under Eclectic 2.0 there is a link called the making of Eclectic 2.0 where he goes through his process and his tools. Highly recommended!
Enjoy!

James Rognon - Self Portrait
So I had a lot of fun doing my self portrait this last week. I actually made a goal to take a new self portrait each day for the next 3 weeks. I totally recommend it for anyone that wants a fun project to do. Also looking at other peoples self portraits was really cool and changed what I thought about self portraits.
All of these images are completely un-edited. That's right they looked like that when I shot them.

RED and PURPLE - GlenTurnbow
The first photo is not edited in any way but the 2nd is. I used a Canon EOS 10D for both of the photos as well. Both were taken on Nov/7/2009.
First Photo: taken at 12:34 pm. 1/80, f/16.0, ISO 800, no flash, no tripod
2nd Photo: taken at 12:44 PM. 1/180, F/6.7, ISO 800, no flash, no tripod. I also increased the contrast and decreased the brightness to make it look more how I saw it by using an adjustments layer in Photoshop.

Have fun and we are excited to see the amazing shots you always produce!

Ashley Shaum | FOOD
Well this is lunch. It was a Thanksgiving Day sandwich from Emma's Kitchen.
While it wasn't my favorite thing. EMMA'S KITCHEN is. What is this blessed place?
It is on the third floor of the Clark building and it is food made from the culinary art students.
The things that make it awesome are first, ITS CHEAP. Second, its DELISH!
T-W-Th from 11:30-1:30. Check it out.
James Rognon - Food Challenge
So because of Halloween we made a lot of treats this past weekend, not to mention the huge amount of food that my family brought over to my house. Here are some delicious cupcakes that my brother and sister in laws brought over.
No these aren't Halloween treats, but I saw this recipe online and I wanted to try it out. They are a chocolate truffle, and they are really good.
Now this last picture isn't of food, but last night when I was driving I noticed the sky had a wonderful sun set to it. Ever sense Justin Hackworth came and spoke at the art seminar here at school, I have been trying to take my camera every where. Luckly I had my camera at this moment, because I got this really amazing picture of the Rexburg Temple. I did slightly edit the picture, just to bring out the colors more so that they would more accurately depict what I saw. Funny thing is, when I was finishing up there were about 10 photographers there trying to capture the sunset and the temple.
