Nice Shot. f/16, good depth of field keeping foreground and background in focus. Smaller aperture helped turn the sky a deep blue. Can't quite tell if you used a ND Grad filter or just the use of the small aperture.
I'd open up the shadows in the cactus if shot in RAW. The sign in the middle of the picture is a little distracting. I almost thought you hadn't just stepped off the side of the road to take this shot, until I spotted the road on the right edge of the picture.
And who say's you can't still get a good looking shot from the original Canon Rebel?!?
