Annalisa Heylen

This picture is of my best friend Jen. I had to choose her to be my model for this because her smile is absolutely gorgeous! I did a panorama of 3 shots I took of her.

Jared George - Smile

My Roommate John, and our friend Kimberly. Both were kind enough to let me take some shots of them, the only problem was using a camera I had never used before. It made for these great candid shots when I could actually snap a shot correctly.

I should tell you all three are edited.

This is the smile you get when you say, "Now DON'T smile!" I love my brothers and it was fun to try and figure out the best way to get them to smile naturally.... and not come out with a cheesy grin :)

My sister is such a happy fun girl and it was fun to catch her smiling in a "different" way then her usual smile.

Jenica Sparks

Here are some pictures I took last week of my sister. Although they may not be the best, I think they capture her personality really well. Especially this last one; to me, it's one of Kelsie's signature expressions. It was fun to play around with portraits. --Jenica

SMILE!

These are two of my roommates. I had a photo shoot with both and was able to capture their beauty. A smile always seems to make a picture complete.

Stephanie Haven

James Rognon - Smiles

Here are a couple of pictures of a boy who I took some pictures of this weekend. His entire family was fun to photograph but I liked these two pictures.

Both pictures were taken with an 85 mm lens, f 1.8 and were taken at about 5:30 pm.

A Secret Smile by Kurt Moore

I took this portrait of Annica Sessions when our Custom Images class went on a field trip to Bannack Ghost Town. The light was perfect, coming in through a south facing window. I kept trying to make her laugh but all I got from her was a smile that it seemed she was trying to hide. This photo is un-edited.

McKenzy Katalin

My cousin Jack was my model for my "Smile" image. It's not a full on grin, but it's still a smile of some sorts.

McKenzy Katalin

This is my "Light" image. I didn't edit it at all (just a little cropping). This was taken completely by accident, but I like how it turned out!

Adding larger images to your posts

If you are interested in putting larger pictures on your blog post you need to follow these next steps:

1) All images should be resized to 700 pixels wide (for horizontal photos) or 400 pixels wide (for vertical photos.) You can resize you images in photoshop under the tab image, and then go to image size. When you change the width the height should automatically follow.

2) In order to get the full size the images must be up loaded to an online storage locatioin. Photo Bucket, or flickr. These places are free and easy to use.

3) When adding images from these locatioins you need to get the urls of each individual photo. As you upload the pictures to your post, instead of browsing from your hard drive you will add them using the url option.

TIP:
One tip don't use any alignment options when adding the pictures to your posts. You just want to pick the none option. This will allow gaps between the posts, and also it wont try and shove your text to the right of the images.

Here are my flower pictures for the week. I was up at the temple last Saturday taking pictures of my new daughter and saw some fun flowers. Here is what I got.

Original Stand-up picture

This is the enhanced Version of "Stand-up"

This pictures is the original "Blue Lion" that came from my camera.

This is the same picture with some added enhancements to boost colors and clarity.

All of these shoots were taken with a Canon Rebel XS and a Canon 85 mm lens. Both shoots I used a f 1.8 and the shutter speed was at 1/400.

Water Drop

I took this picture yesterday. Here are my settings:
Shutter speed: 1/320
f/stop: f/5.6
ISO: 200
Onboard camera flash (0.0 compensation)
55-200 mm lens
I have a few more on my blog and it explains what I did.

Flower Theme

Took this shot in the gardens. I like it a lot but I think I should have used a higher aperture, the whole flower isnt in focus as much as Id like it to be. Enjoy! -Mike Claverie
