Contest Reminder!

Hey everyone! Just a reminder that the first contest of the semester is next week. The theme of the contest is "Stranger." The rules are that it has to be of a picture of a person that you have never met before in your life. You ask them right on the spot if it would be alright if you take their picture, then have them sign a release form.

Remember that you can enter up to 3 photos. There are two categories: Edited, and Unedited. You can enter two in one category, and one in the other. Unedited means that you did not change anything about the picture, not even a little contrast. Anything else means that it goes in the Edited category. The pictures need to be printed 8x10.

My name is Blake Pack and I am from the oh-so-distant city of Idaho Falls. I was born and raised on a dairy farm there, and thus completely fulfill the stereotype of the Idahoan. Interestingly enough, though, I am the only dairy farmer from Idaho that I know (besides family). I am an English major with an emphasis on Professional and Creative writing (but I guess its not really emphasizing when you are working on both divisions, eh?) I have been here forever and will be here for many more years to come... And last but not least my favorite type of music is a whistling man/woman. It's even better when they do it together because male/female duets are next in line for my favorite type.

My name is Jordan Johnson, and I'm from a little town called Simsbury, Connecticut. I like to do a lot biking in my spare time, both mountain and road. I also like to go on random drives to no where and listen to music, and looking at the scenery. I got into photography a little while back but never really did too much with it. I'm into landscapes mostly, but I also love getting night shots, although they don't usually come out as well as I would like.

Hello everyone! :)

If you are seeing this blog for the first time, then you have probably not been to Photographics Society before. To tell you a little bit about it, we are a Photography Club focused on learning new information and skills about Photography and a little about Photoshop as well. It is an awesome way to meet people who have the common interest of Photography. We meet each week from 5:00-6:00 in Spori 137.
