One Photo A Day

Hey Gang,

So here is the plan, late as it is. If you want to (and I strongly encourage you to) we are taking one photograph a day over the "7 week" break. If you would please jump in and edit this post and add a link to the post you are going to be using for your photographs a day it would allow other to see your work. Have fun with this and do whatever you want, but remember you are doing this for yourself, to practice some of the skills you have learned and to improve your own photography.

Thanks,
Jared George

Jessica McIntyre--White Roller Coaster

I took this picture at Lagoon Amusement Park on my way up the most rickety roller coaster they have. I boosted the contrast just a little bit and well here ya go!

Jared George: Photo Shoot

I went on a photo shoot this semester, and it was one of the funnest things I have done, and one of the best things for me. This was one of my favorite shots from this.

Favorite Thing This Semester- Yellowstone -Alex Plitt

I went to Yellowstone for the Fourth of July weekend and it was BEAUTIFUL! The only thing that I did to this picture was increase the contrast a little bit. This was one of my favorite memories of the semester :)

Kenton Anderson - Afton

The most fun I have had this semester has been with my little girl. These three situations in particular have made us laugh a ton.

Glen Turnbow - Favorite - 50mm lens/Fish/Canoing

I got a 50mm lens and I was giddy about it. it is a little ghetto but I was excited to get it. I also got fish and crabs. Even though I liked both of those I think my favorite was going canoing and I didn't take any photos of it so this is the closest I have of it. I did some slight editing by taking the saturation down. I love the 50mm fixed lens with the depth of field that it gives.

Toca and my Little Girl - Chad Allen

My 2 year old daughter loves my conga drum, no matter whether she's watching me play or playing herself. She started this thing where instead of watching me play from behind me, she'll lie down below my drum and look up through the inside. So, one day while she was playing, I thought I'd see what it was she sees while I play. Liking what I saw, I grabbed my camera and snapped this shot. I made it black and white, but no other modifications were made.

I'll not disclose what I used to take this picture. I'd get made fun of for sure.

blake galbraith emotion

Emotion-Taylor Jensen

Nostalgia?

Emotion - Kenton Anderson

Tickle Fight... I thought they loooked pretty happy.

Jimmy Rognon - Emotion

What I am trying with this photograph, is the ability that photographs can do to create emotion within someone just by looking at the photograph. I, personally, think that this photograph really gives me emotions and I hope that it does for you too.

Melanie Meik- Emotion

Twitterpated:
1)to be completely enamored with someone/something.
2) the flighty exciting feeling you get when you think about/see the object of your affection.
I took this picture while taking my sister's engagement pictures.
Taken with my 35 mm camera with 400 speed film.

Glen Turnbow - Emotion

Children are never good at hiding their emotions. This is my nephew and he was not a happy and it shows. What says sad better than a little kids frowning face.

I just wanted to emphasis the color red in this photo but also show how it can add drama.

While out in the middle of a field in the middle of nowhere, the sun hit just right and I loved this shot. The field looked amazing in the setting sun.

Found this flower somewhere on campus and took a bunch of different photos and I think that this one came out the best.

Crossroad Chairs: 5-1-10; 1:46pm; Rexburg, ID; f 4.0; 1/50; Canon EOS Digital Rebel XS; Original
I took this in the Crossroads while all the chairs were stacked up in the tables. I tried to get more of an abstract angle with them. It was difficult to get something that looked neat and be able to take the picture without a tripod.
